As promised, here is a blog post about my top 3 supplements from Womens Best- WHY I use them, WHEN I take them and my favourite flavour recommendations!
BCAA’s is a supplement I can’t go past! I drink BCAA’s daily, during my training sessions, and I also love to sip on them throughout the day. In short; BCAA’s stand short for “Branched Chained Amino Acids”, and they are essential nutrients in the body as your body cannot synthesize them. There are three BCAA’s; L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-Valine and these must obtain these through your diet.
BCAA as a supplements can be easily used during exercise to reduce fatigue, accelerate recovery, reduce muscle soreness, and improve the use of fat for energy, reduce fatigue and improve both mental and physical performance. BCAAs are well known for triggering protein synthesis.
BCAAs are best to take around your workout. Enjoy BCAA’s pre, during or post-workout. I enjoy my BCAA’s during my workout as I have my pre-workout before and my protein supplement after I train. If your goal is to build mass, also consider taking a dose of BCAAs first thing upon waking to help stop the muscle breakdown that is turned on during your night of fasting while you sleep.
I also use BCAA in recipes like healthy icy poles or jelly, or sometimes as a snack drink during the day.

Protein is another go-to supplement for me!
To sum it up; Proteins are made out of smaller molecules called amino acids. Some of these amino acids can be produced by the body, while we must get others from food. Proteins are the main building blocks of the body. They’re used to make muscle, bones, organs, hair, nails and skin. Proteins are also used to make enzymes, hormones, neurotransmitters and various other molecules that serve important functions.
If the above spiel wasn’t enough, proteins not only Supply your body with essential nutrients , it Boost overall health and immune system & prevents various disease, Increased Strength, power, muscle mass and boost physical performance , Reduce muscle soreness after training, Enhance fat loss and build muscle through enhanced protein synthesis, Aid healthy growth for toddlers. Whey protein It contains all of the essential amino acids and is easily digested (if you are not lactose- or casein intolerant). It helps boost energy and can reduce stress levels.
You can get your protein from foods, which is why I don’t have a protein supplement every day- as I sometimes have my meal straight after my workout. Using a protein supplement within 30 minutes after training when you don’t have time for a meal though really helps obtain all the benefits from the nutrient! I also love having a protein smoothie in the mornings if I am lacking time to cook a breakfast!

I love taking my all green- everything in the morning! I mix 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, juice from half a lemon and a serve of All- Green Everything. Mix and drink up! It doesn’t taste amazing, but it’s a great kick start for your day!
