I have just returned from a beautiful week in Portoheli, "The St. tropez of Greece", where I trained the guests at Somapnevma fitness/lifestyle retreat for a beautiful week. Not only did we have an amazing week of training and eating beautiful healthy Greek food, we also had time to explore the surroundings and take part of fun activities!

Back in Australia and already missing retreat life in Greece, training the guests and hanging out with my crew of new friends! Here is a little insight of my time in Greece at the Somapneva retreat!
24 hours of movies, some sleep, snapchats and phone-calls with Wifi connection on my Etihad airways flight- I touched down in Athens at mid day. Exhausted after all the flying I walked out of the airport to find Stef, the retreat organizer, and her brother Annivas waving eagerly at me. I had finally arrived!
I spent a night in Athens at a beautiful hotel called the Margi, and had the opportunity to train a private local client in the city on the night of my arrival.
The following day it was time to start the retreat!! We headed to the beautiful town of Portoheli, situated 2 and a half hours from Athens. This little town is known well to the elite, rich and famous population of Greece and international guests who own villas in the district. During winter months Portoheli is a quiet place- but as soon as summer comes along the empty streets get vibrant and beach cubs like Nikki Beach fills up with summer guests for a cocktail or two.
We had the oppertunity to visit both Nikki Beach and another amazing private beach club/resort called the Amanzoe for a sunset refreshment.

We stayed at a large, luxurious villa in Portoheli. 16 all up- we began the days with yoga which was instructed by a Portugese yoga- teacher Susanne. After early morning yoga it was time for my training. The group of retreat guests were all quite young, so the energy and level of training could be kept quite intense. We focused on a lot of functional, compound, bodyweight workouts and included some resistance training as well.
The afternoon training often incuded a more creative training method. One day we had 70s style swim and strength workout. Another day we went stand up paddle boarding and one day we cycled around on a beautiful island, Spetses, close to Portoheli.
