Healthy snack- Hummus dip with Baby carrots

Why this as a snack:

Hummus main ingredient is chickpeas, and chickpeas are an outstanding source of protein, rich in vitamin C and contains B vitamins. It also contain vitamins E and K, Folate, Potassium, and Thiamin. Additionally, hummus is an outstanding source of omega-3 fatty acids. Hummus will keep you feeling full for longer due to it's dietary fiber content.

The snack:

2 tbs hummus (recipe below)

7 large baby carrots (100 g), cut into halves

What you Need to make Hummus:

(makes 4 serves)

1/2 cup (200 g) Chickpeas

1/2 large lemon to juice

1/2 tbs tahini

1 cloves of garlic

1/2 tbs coconut oil (in it's liquid form)

A pinch of salt

Water to get the prefered consistancy

What To Do:

  1. Blend together the tahinin and lemon juice.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend. Add water if the consistancy is too thick.
  3. Ready to serve!
